Get to Know Chris Appleton's Adult Children, Billy and Kitty-blu

Chris Appleton may be most recognized for his work as a celebrity hairstylist, but he's also got a full plate when it comes to his family life. The world-renowned hair guru is the proud dad of two adult kids, whom he shares with ex-partner Katie Katon. The former couple, who seem to have coparenting down pat from the looks of their Instagram pages, dated prior to Appleton coming out as gay in 2009.
Speaking to The New York Times in February 2020, Katon shared that Appleton poured himself into his work while keeping his personal life a secret. "Hiding who you are for so many years causes a lot of pain inside, wouldn't it?" she said. "The way Chris dealt with that pain was trying to be the best he could be in other areas."
Back in April, Appleton married "You" actor Lukas Gage, which occurred less than a month after their engagement was reported. On April 26, the hairstylist confirmed that he and Gage had tied the knot with the help of his pals Kim Kardashian and Shania Twain. "We did it," he captioned a series of Instagram photos from the beautiful occasion, adding a "big thank you" to both the reality star and the singer. While Appleton's daughter, Kitty-blu Appleton, shared some of her own photos from the wedding on Instagram, his son, Billy Appleton, is a bit quieter on social media.

Kitty-blu Appleton
Kitty-blu was born on Nov. 3, 2005. By the time she was 17, she was already working as a makeup artist, proving she inherited her parents' creative genes. During a joint interview with her dad for Allure in 2022, Kitty-blu opened up about her youth and how she was always in full glam because of her parents. She recalled, "I was always that girl with my hair done and a full face of makeup. Because of social media, everyone at school was like, 'Oh, can you get your dad to do my hair?' I was like, 'No!'"
Chris told the publication that his daughter has "always had a vision for makeup," to which she agreed. "Makeup was my hobby and passion," she said. "It was my escape from school. I hated math and English."
During their chat, Kitty-blu — who had recently relocated from England to live with the hairstylist in Los Angeles — shared that while she loves her dad and his career, she wants to make her own name for herself. "You're on your own journey," Chris told Kitty-blu. "I brought you to LA, but the rest has been down to you."
Their discussion with Allure solidified the mutual respect both Kitty-blu and Chris have for one another. Their bond is often highlighted on social media, with the duo sharing sweet moments together, including everything from the Kardashians' epic Christmas parties to spending Thanksgiving skiing together in Big Bear.
Along with her booming makeup career, Kitty-blu is also a social media influencer.

Billy Appleton
Billy was born on Dec. 1, 2003, and like his sister, he relocated from England to Los Angeles sometime around 2021. According to his Instagram bio, Billy attends Loyola Marymount University and is an avid gym-goer and sports fan.
Also like Kitty-blu, Billy is all about his family and loves to spend time with his mom, dad, and sister. Since Billy keeps a semi-low profile, not much is known about what he may be studying at LMU or what type of career he's pursuing.
