What to Know About Lukas Gage — From His Go-To Karaoke Song to His Reported Engagement

Lukas Gage may have been a Hollywood newcomer when he burst onto the scene with breakout roles on "Euphoria" and "The White Lotus." But his impressive résumé has only grown since with his other standout projects, including "You" season four and "How to Blow Up a Pipeline." Beyond his intriguing onscreen roles, Gage is also hilarious and relatable in real life — and officially off the market!

On April 5, multiple outlets reported that the 27-year-old actor is engaged to celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton. Gage has yet to publicly comment on the news, and it's likely he won't, since he's not too keen on sharing details about his private life. In an interview with The New York Times, published on March 9, he said, "I'm a pretty open book about most things in my life, but I have a problem with the culture of everyone needing to know everybody's business and nothing can be sacred. It's a weird line that I'm still trying to figure out."

But no worries if you're curious about other aspects of Gage's life. He actually is pretty candid when it comes to his career and the roles he takes on — even if they involve him baring it all to the world. "I guess I'm a little more European in my thoughts on nudity right now. I'm not begging to take my clothes off, but I'm comfortable with it," he previously told The Hollywood Reporter.

From indulging in reality-TV shows to having an impressive acting origin story involving warts, Gage has quite a fascinating life. Read ahead for fun facts about the California native that prove all of this and more.

"It was a safe way for me to express myself and was almost like therapy," he said.

During an interview with Bustle, Gage shared some relatable guilty pleasures and his love for everything pop culture. He revealed that Cher is his celebrity idol, his go-to karaoke song is "Shallow" by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, and that if he were on reality TV, he'd be on either "Below Deck Mediterranean" or "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City." Talk about variety!

"He just said, 'Come to Paris's party.'" Hilton didn't seem to mind, though, and instead extended Gage an invitation to the premiere party for the podcast's final episode.

A "Saturday Night Live" Legend Convinced Him to Share His Viral Audition Video

Gage previously shared that his "The White Lotus" costar and "Saturday Night Live" legend Molly Shannon encouraged him to share a Zoom audition clip where a director was caught criticizing the size of Gage's apartment. "I was having some drinks with Molly and we were talking about our worst audition stories, and I showed her this video and . . . she just basically told me you have to post it. I mean, actors will relate to it," he shared with Entertainment Weekly.

Although Gage was initially nervous to share the video, it paid off with the amount of support he got from other stars like Joe Jonas, Chase Stokes, and more.

He's a Comedy Writer

Although Gage has spent most of his Hollywood career in front of the camera, he's also been credited as a writer. Together with "Euphoria" producer Phoebe Fisher, Gage cowrote and starred in a comedy film titled "Down Low." He Isn't a Fan of Being Famous

Though Gage enjoys the craft of acting, he's not a big fan of the fame that comes with it. "I like doing interviews. I like conversations like this. But the thing that gets hard as I'm becoming more of a public figure is navigating a public versus private life," he admitted to The Hollywood Reporter. "I never want to feel like I'm hiding or trying to cover up anything, but I have to keep some things for myself."
